If there is one thing we have all realized in making this movie- all those
names in the credits (the ones we all ignore) are really REALLY needed.
Without them, everyone has to juggle a dozen jobs. Our hats are off to
ANYONE who can finish a movie without killing the director.
Here's a peek behind the scenes to see how the Shades of Toad crew is holding up...
(Kids... don't try this at home.)
NEVER DO THIS with your that camera you borrowed from your friend.
(At least, don't post it on your website until after you've made the final payment.)
"Yeah yeah yeah, taking gre-a-a-a-at care of your camera."
Prima donna director.
Prima donna director wanna-be.
Targaetha mans the cam.
Targaetha the fashion plate.
Boom operator compensation for rough working conditions.
This week my hair is short and blue... but next week it will be
long, curly, and brown...
(Why I wear a hat in the movie.)
...and this week I decided to grow a beard...
Did I mention I'm a film production major?
Continuity schmontinuity...
Carrot on a stick, Chee Oolee on a string-
whatever it takes to motivate.
(See what I mean about the hair?)
The happily married pair.
HER: What do you mean we cannot remodel the kitchen until 'your' film is done?
HIM: Continuity, babe! Hey, two, three weeks tops. I promise.
HIM (sotto voce): Thats two to three weeks on Neptune calendar time...
HER: And I can't change my hair style?!?!?
HIM: Continutity, babe!
HER: But your brother keeps changing his hair- and growing a beard.
HIM: Hey, you want to grow a beard? Go right ahead. I'll work in it somehow.
HER: Well, no.
HIM: OK then. He's a film major. He's exempt. Or something.
Feeding the cast and crew...
...to keep the star at peak performing weight.
The star relates to his fans:
"It's all in the fingers."
The star in his prior big picture debut:
Darth Dennis, Romulan Blues Sith, Strikes Back (Episode XVCII)
(note early finger work during the 'lean' years)
July 15, 2006 the shoot started at over 90 degrees (F)
And after 3 hours under those lights... hotternhell.
...and then I say: "Ohhhh yeah, that reminds me. I finally recovered
my dice from last time..."
Recovered my dice? From where? I don't get it...
Dice baggie 'special effects' left-overs.
Chris, I think you've gone a little soft.
Can we get a white balance here...?
Method acting revealed.
Susan en chapeau.
Someday I hope to direct!
We did it! Only 27 takes! Whew!
