"We are all Students."

Brain Seed Games believes mathematics is a skill to be developed, a tool to be wielded expertly. This project strives to develop enjoyable board games and activities to make math accessible and fun. Here the student will find insights that can be used for a lifetime. These are not thinly veiled homework assignments. These are not test preparation tools. No one enters the career world as a professional test taker. It is our hope that these games apply math in acheiveing a real world goal. Even if that 'real' world is in a lost jungle or on the dark side of the moon.

All content on this page is free for download, distribution, and use. This includes rules for game play as well as printable game content (boards, pieces, etc.)

This is a community effort- and you are part of that community. Use these games. Let us know what you think. We want to hear from educators and students. We want to hear from scientists, mathematicians, engineers, accountants, bankers- anyone who uses math. (And that should be everyone!) What concepts would have helped you learn math better? What teaching techniques can we employ to better serve the student?

Each game (or activity) has a Goals and Discussion section to let the student and educator know what points the game intends to develop- and how they can be used going forward. Do not discount the early development games (ex: Pyramid Orangutan) as child's play. Math education develops over years. Math skills constantly build upon what has come before. Miss one concept early on and the student can be impaired for life. Take a peek at all the games and see if there is something you missed! You may be surprised.

We particularly want to hear from those of you who "Hate Math" or were left behind in the classroom. Brain Seed Games has not forgotten you. Help us eliminate the math gap. It does not have to happen. Share your experiences with us. Together we can stamp out 'mathapy'.
